In five seconds a visitor should know what you do, who it is for and what to do next. Everything else can wait for the scroll.

The top of a homepage is the most expensive space on the site and it is usually spent on a slogan. A slogan is a riddle. Visitors do not solve riddles; they leave.

The three things

State what you do in plain words, name who it is for, and offer one action. Web design and development for restaurants in Kosovo. See our work. Not exciting, and it is the version that gets the click.

Test it with a stranger

  • Show the top of the page to someone for five seconds, then hide it.
  • Ask what the company does and what they would click.
  • If they hesitate, rewrite it. Do not add a subtitle; replace the headline.
