Every cookie this site uses, what each one does, and how to control them.
What we mean by cookies
This page lists every cookie and every piece of browser storage this site uses, what each one is for, and how long it lives. Four of them are needed to make the site work at all. The rest do not run until you say yes, and saying no leaves the site working exactly as it did.
A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to keep, and to send back on your next visit. Alongside them this site uses local storage and session storage, which stay in your browser and are never sent to us at all. The rules are the same for all three, so this page covers all three.
Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive allows only the strictly necessary ones without asking you. Everything else needs consent that is freely given, specific and informed, and withdrawing it has to be as easy as giving it. That is what the banner does.
Your choice, and where it is stored
On your first visit the banner offers four categories. Necessary is always on and cannot be switched off. Preferences, Analytics and Marketing are off until you turn them on, and Reject leaves all three off.
Your answer is written to your browser's local storage under hox_cookie_preferences, not to a cookie sent back to our server, so the record of what you chose never leaves your device. Google Consent Mode starts every permission denied and is updated only to match what you picked.
Nothing in the Analytics or Marketing rows below is loaded before you accept. Not the script, not the pixel, not the tag manager.
Strictly necessary
Without these the site cannot keep you signed in to a form, protect that form from being submitted by someone else, or remember that you already answered the banner.

Preferences
This category covers settings a page can remember for you, such as a language choice or a section you collapsed. Nothing here identifies you and nothing here is shared. If you leave the category off, the site simply forgets those small choices between visits.
Analytics
Analytics tells us which pages are read and which are ignored, so the site gets better rather than merely bigger. It runs on Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, and only after you accept this category.

The data collected is kept for 14 months and is not used to build an advertising profile of you.
Marketing
These measure the campaigns HOX runs for its own studio, so we know which ones brought someone here and which were a waste. They load only after you accept this category.

Changing your mind
Clear this site's data in your browser and the banner comes back on your next visit, with every optional category off again. In Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge that sits under the padlock in the address bar, or under site settings.
Your browser can also block or delete cookies generally, and can send a Global Privacy Control signal. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop the forms on this site from working, which is a limitation of how forms work rather than a choice we made.
Withdrawing consent does not undo what was already collected while it was given, but it stops anything further, and you can ask us to delete what exists under the Privacy Policy.
The companies behind the optional ones
Google Ireland Limited and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited act as our processors for the categories above, under written contracts and under Standard Contractual Clauses where data reaches the United States, alongside the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU to US Data Privacy Framework. Each also keeps its own privacy terms, which apply to what it does with the data on its side.
Changes to this policy
A new tool means a new row in one of the tables above, and a new date at the top of this page. Where a new tool falls into an optional category, it stays off until you accept it, even if you accepted that category before.
